Road To The Battleground

Monday Night's "Go Home" Episode of RAW leading up to BattleGround was explosive! This has been one of the best episodes of RAW this year so far, along with the RAW's during the Road To WrestleMania. This past Monday, we saw some major shifts take place as WWE is shaking up their landscape heading into Sunday.

RAW presented some momentous segment, but none more so than this:

Diva Takeover (#GiveDivasAChance):

This segment was the talk of the entire Internet Wrestling World, as the #GiveDivasAChance Movement is coming to life from Twitter to the live WWE Product. The Bellas and their whipping girl Alicia Fox come to the ring as Nikki blows her horn about how dominant she has been. (We know the real reason why she is having a long reign) She talks about how there is no more competition left in the Divas Division. Suddenly, WWE Princess Stephanie McMahon interrupts Nikki's rant.

Stephanie shuts Nikki down like she knows how to. She follows up by saying that the Divas Division needs some competition and that it is time to make changes. Steph proceeds to introduce contenders for Nikki Bella's title, as Paige is the first to come to the ring. Nikki tells Stephanie about how many times Paige has failed to win back the title. Stephanie puts Nikki in her place saying that Paige came out because she wanted her to be there. When it comes to dealing with the Bella Twins, I am always on Stephanie's side.

Finally, WWE pulls the trigger to inject new blood into a dying Division. Stephanie introduces the NXT Women. First, she calls up Becky Lynch. Next, Steph gives clues for Sasha Banks by calling her the "Boss" before bringing her out. Last but not least, Stephanie introduces a woman who can style and profile: Charlotte Flair!!!

These three women came out to a monstrous ovation from the crowd because this is what fans have all been crying about and begging for across Social Media. Stephanie then asks Nikki if this is what she had in mind when she said she was looking for competition.

This segment made my night, as Stephanie is putting the pieces in place across the Chess Board of the Divas Division. Brilliant move by the heiress to the McMahon Empire. WWE has heard the cries and the complaints from the Internet about #GiveDivasAChance on Twitter, starting from AJ Lee. Maybe that AJ is gone, WWE decided to finally push the button since she is not screaming about it anymore.

It would have been nice to see them teamed up together to battle the main roster. Instead, Charlotte and Becky join Paige while Sasha joins Naomi and Tamina. I won't complain. Stephanie says that she has set the table of opportunity, and she wants to know who will take it. The action kicks off from their, as the contenders corner the Bellas.

Nikki bumps into Sasha Banks and war breaks out. Banks grabs Nikki by the hair and throws her to the mat before everyone else joins in on the fight. The NXT Divas put the Main Roster Divas on notice as they dominate them. Charlotte locks Alicia Fox in the Figure Four. Becky Lynch locks Brie Bella in an Armbar. Sasha Banks gives Nikki her finisher (Bankrupt) before locking her in a modified Crossface as the Divas Champion taps out.

Paige's Team and Naomi's Teams stand strong in victory as the Bellas and Alicia Fox crawl out of the ring in defeat. Meanwhile, Stephanie stands at the ramp with a smile on her face. WWE has been known to drop the ball many times, even when it comes to the women.

At the same time, they have not dropped the ball with every woman that has come through the company. Great Female Stars like Melina short-changed themselves with poor decisions. That is one of the exceptions.

However, I don't think it will happen this time because they cannot afford to make the same mistakes this time around. Stephanie McMahon has thrown down the gantlet as she has lit a brand new fire among the females in wrestling. I have high hopes for the Women of NXT on the Main Roster.

Even though plans are set for Nikki Bella to break AJ Lee's Record, I believe that the Bella Twins will be exposed badly by first class female wrestlers like Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch. The Bellas do not outshine them at all from looks wise, to in-ring wise. Compared to them, The Bellas are pretty mediocre.

Nikki and Brie are the faces of Total Divas, but they don't have much to offer after that. The Bellas place in the company is frowned upon, because of the men in their lives.

They have made it to the top, mostly because of John Cena and Daniel Bryan's wallets. I am just telling it like I see it. Nikki has improved in the ring and on the mic, but she is not Trish Stratus or Lita. One would think that Brie would have improved as an in-ring technician because of her husband Daniel Bryan. Clearly, that talent was not transmitted as AJ Lee would say.

Nikki is the better Bella because she simply amplifies her narcissistic attitude.

Each of these three ladies from NXT has their own special qualities. Charlotte has greatness in her DNA because of who her Dad is. She is much better than her brother David ever was. Initially, there were people who picked Charlotte as the lead female. However, that is not the case as Sasha Banks is fantastic in the ring as well. The biggest difference between Sasha and Charlotte is charisma. Banks has the edge in personality and attitude, so that gives her an edge.

Meanwhile, the rest of the women on the roster are pretty much left in the dust. Nattie, Cameron and Summer Rae have fallen into the background. Natalya has wrestling in her bloodline like Charlotte, but she does not draw the kind of interest as the Bellas and Paige. Cameron was clearly the weak link between her and Naomi. Summer Rae is stuck in this dreadful Love Storyline between Rusev, Lana, and Dolph Ziggler.

Bayley is the next to make the move to the Main Roster. That way, we can finally have the Four Horsewomen.

Triple H has already made his presence known through his impact on the Men of NXT (Owens, Neville, Balor, Zayn). Now, Stephanie is making her imprint with the Females. I believe that Dusty would be proud.

Battle for the US Title:

John Cena originally came to the ring to place his Open Challenge to anyone willing to take the US Title. Rusev comes out to challenge Cena. Before the match starts, Kevin Owens sticks his nose in the scene. Owens cuts a great line about Summer Rae calling her a Lana wannabe. Cesaro steps into the picture, as Cena steps away. The match becomes a triple threat, with outstanding action.

The Value of the US Title has increased exponentially, because of John Cena. Now, it has become a hot commodity that others scratch and fight for. The match ends with Rusev pinning Cesaro after a Superkick. Rusev then goes one on one with Cena. The match ends with Kevin Owens attacking Rusev while having John Cena locked in the Accolade.

This makes the buildup for the US Championship Match even stronger, as Cena and Owens have put together back to back "Match of the Year" Candidates.

Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins (Beast vs Architect):

Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar come to the table for a contract signing for their WWE World Heavyweight Championship match to close the show. Anytime Brock Lesnar is involved in a contract signing, bad things happen. They did on Monday.

Paul Heyman is a master of the mic as he cuts a terrific face promo talking about how everyone wants to see Seth Rollins get killed. Heyman emphasized how Brock will destroy Rollins.

Earlier in the night, Seth warned Kane that if anything went bad during the contract signing, that it was all on him.

The Contract Signing completely melted down as Lesnar flipped the table over Rollins and attacked him. Kane did his best to keep The Beast away but failed. Lesnar finally wipes his hands of the Big Red has been with an F5 before smashing Kane's ankle with the steel stairs.

After Brock leaves, Seth cuts an intense promo about how he will slay the Beast. Rollins turns his attention to a fallen Kane for a moment that many people have been waiting for. Seth insults Kane and calls him a disappointment before stomping on his broken ankle.

This is how Brock Lesnar should be booked and utilized. Watching Lesnar put Kane out of his misery is what I enjoyed.

"Suplex City" has taken on a life of its own, and Brock is enjoying his greatest marketing success since he Broke The Streak. I believe that phrase had to come from Lesnar himself, and the fans can tell that it feels original.

Seth could very well be on his way to Suplex City.

Going into Sunday, Seth Rollins is on his own. Kane and J&J Security are finally out of the picture. Honestly, I don't know who will win. Brock could dominate him to win back the title. However, Seth could find a way to screw Brock out of the title.

This is what Seth Rollins seriously needs because I believe his title reign has been greatly diminished. Kane and The Midget Squad have been dragging him down during this title reign. Rollins has gone from being a potential Shawn Michaels to becoming The Miz.

Great heels know that they could win clean, but chose to cheat when they need to. Edge, Ric Flair, and Eddie Guerrero knew that they were great, but cheated when they saw it was time to. Seth Rollins has gone from someone who cheated when he knew he could beat someone to cheating because he is not able to. 9 times out of 10, Seth's wins have come because he needed two semi-retired Cruiserweights and a washed up Monster to help him win.

Ric Flair has had the Horsemen help him here and there, but Naitch has also shown that he could take care of business by himself. Edge has had help to win before, but many of his matches ended with his own dirty tactics. Same goes for HBK. Seth has had to have others fight his battles for much of his tenure as Champion.

Rollins has gone from being an Architect to an Imbecile. The Miz's WWE Title run has become more believable than Seth Rollins, and that is terrible.

Now, Seth has the green line to shine the way that he is capable of since Kane and J&J "Security" are out of the picture. WWE has been slowly planting the seeds for Seth to break away from the Authority. We have seen this plan progress even more on Monday.

Who knows? Maybe The Shield could come together to take down Lesnar.

Overall, this RAW leading up to BattleGround receives 4 Ric Flair "Big Gold" World Heavyweight Titles out of 5.

Big Trouble in Little Chyna

I will do my best to handle this with care. Lately, Chyna (Joanie Laurer) has been creating a firestorm by blasting Triple H, The McMahon family and X-Pac in different shoot interviews. Everybody knows about the relationship that Chyna had with Triple H. The whole world knows about the affair that Paul Levesque (Triple H) had with The Golden Daughter Stephanie McMahon. We all know about the way that this love triangle led to Chyna's exit from the WWF and how her career crumbled into shambles. She had nobody to turn to at such a troubling time in her life.

Since that time, Chyna joined the Adult Film Industry (Porn) where her wrestling career has been tarnished. Her life has fallen apart in front of our very eyes. She has told the story about the love affair between herself, Hunter and Chyna everywhere she has gone. Chyna has even recorded a video where she blasted Stephanie McMahon while being drunk during the video. When Stone Cold Steve Austin had Triple H as a guest on his podcast, he mentioned Chyna. She automatically became the top subject of discussion, as fans started coming to her defense about being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Even I was one of them. I figured that Chyna had a strong case for the HOF considering the low standards that WWE has for induction. As long as you are in good graces with Vince McMahon, you can make it into the HOF.

Chyna's Career Evaluation:
The Good:
1. Broke Barriers: Chyna was a trailblazer that empowered young women
2. Female Bodyguard: Chyna played a major role as the bodyguard for D-Generation-X.
3. Drawing Power: Her Amazon physique made her a natural attraction
4. Female Intercontinental Champion: Enough said. The only woman to do so.
5. Royal Rumble Participant

The Bad:
1. Downward Spiral: Very tragic story. A nasty downfall
2. In-Ring Flaws: She was not known to be the best worker, male or female
3. Backstage Drama: There are not many good stories about her from other wrestlers
4. Triple H Breakup: Sad end to her career. I don't agree with her response.
5. Bad Blood with the McMahon Family: Nail in the Coffin

I present those facts to make this simple point. With all of the good that Chyna brought to the table, the bad outweighs everything else by a considerable margin. Chyna was the image of empowerment for young women everywhere. She played a huge part as the female bodyguard for DX, as she stood toe to toe with the Men. She was naturally able to draw just from how unique she was. As IC Champion, her biggest victory was over future Hall Of Famer Chris Jericho. However, it does look strange when you read the history books as you see Chyna's name next to great champions like Jericho, Savage, Bret, HBK and others. Her tragic fall from grace has become what she is most known for these days as her image is more associated with porn than with wrestling. Chyna did not have the best backstage reputation as she rubbed many people the wrong way. Chris Jericho himself did not have the best things to say about Chyna in his book "Undisputed". Jericho talks about how Chyna nearly ruined him when he first joined WWE. Meanwhile, Stephanie saved him during their feud. People talk about Ultimate Warrior separating himself from others. Chyna was even worse. Chyna developed a large ego, as she thought that she was better than what she really was. Now, the spotlight that she once enjoyed has disintegrated. As a result, she feels the pain of not having the platform that led to her success, which was wrestling. She has truly become a shell of who she once was.

Suddenly, things started to change about my stance regarding Chyna. The week after Austin's interview with Triple H, Chyna appeared on different radio shows and other outlets claiming that Triple H assaulted her when she confronted him about possibly doing something behind her back. This is where things went from bad to worse, because those allegations hit too close to home. This woman slandered a man that went from being her boyfriend to becoming one of the Top Executives of the WWE. Chyna continued to burn her bridge with WWE with those statements. She threw his name into the mud. Chyna was later a guest on the "Opie & Jim Norton" Radio Show when she accused Sean Waltman (X-Pac) of abusing her and drugging her. Waltman called into the show and denied every allegation that Chyna threw at him, as he came across as very genuine. I gained more respect for X-Pac after this, as he was open and honest about his mistakes. Even he gave Chyna respect when he said that before Ronda Rousey, there was Chyna. Hard to argue with that. Yet, Chyna still came across as unbelievable. The comments about her were not good. Don't expect her to be a guest on the "Steve Austin Show" or "Talk Is Jericho" anytime in the future, because of the dark cloud that she brings.

A photo was also leaked with Chyna standing outside of the WWE Office. It led many people to talk. Chyna even recorded a video making a plea to Vince McMahon and Triple H to have a sit down talk to settle their differences so that she could join the WWE Hall Of Fame. Vince & Trips probably saw the video and simply said "No thanks". That simple statement is enough to shut down all communication with her. This woman defamed WWE and the McMahon family. She accused Triple H of beating her. Vince is giving Hunter his Keys to the Kingdom, and the last thing that Triple H needs is for his name to be connected to an assault charge. X-Pac even denied that. I believe in forgiving, but I also believe in separating yourself from people that want to destroy you. WWE has a brand to protect, and Triple H is a very valuable investment to that brand. The last thing that their image needs is an abuse scandal. During the video, Chyna never apologized for the deplorable things that she said about WWE in various interviews. She never admitted to the pain that she caused others, and how she has been on a mission to damage the WWE Empire in a futile attempt to gain sympathy. It came across like a false sense of humility, because she was not being sincere about what mattered the most. The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. At this point, a large section of the wrestling community wants nothing to do with her. I have to take the side of the WWE. When DX does reunions, it is not like a giant void is missing when Chyna is not there. Shawn Michaels and Triple H have been able to handle things well when they bring X-Pac and The New Age Outlaws.

Chyna has to be honest with herself and find the help that she needs. She also has to let go of the past in order to move forward. I am sure Triple H regrets how he handled the situation, but he has moved on with this life. He has moved on in a big way. Chyna lost big time in that deal. The best thing that WWE can do is  ignore Chyna. It is for her own good. If WWE decides to induct her into the HOF at this stage in her life, she might use the title of "Hall of Famer" to raise her status in the porn industry. This will only diminish the HOF even more. I think they have learned their lesson after Sunny tricked them into thinking that she was fine. After Sunny was inducted, things only got worse. How can WWE trust Chyna to do anything different from Sunny? With that said, giving her any more attention will not help but potentially hurt even more.

Sometimes in life, the best medicine that we can give people is that we ignore them so that they seek the help that they need to improve their health and well being. As fans, that is also the best thing we can do for her. That is simply "Best For Business".

History Rewritten: WrestleMania 2000

As I look at the Main Event of WrestleMania 2000, I see what could have and should have been. You had the two biggest stars in WWF/E at that time who were not named Stone Cold Steve Austin. Those stars were The Rock and Triple H. Leading up to this, Rock and Hunter already had a well built rivalry.

Background:
By the Summer of 1999, Stone Cold was on the shelf after an injury. As a result, The Rock took his spot as the most popular star in the WWF/E. Things were coming together even more for Rocky. He became an even bigger ratings magnet in the eyes of the media. The Rock and Sock Connection connected very well with the fans, as the "This is Your Life" segment broke ratings records. On the other hand, Triple H made his emergence as the top villain in the company. That summer, The Game would win his first WWF Championship. The Great One and The Cerebral Assassin would go blow for blow over the title.

At the start of 2000, Hunter's feud with Cactus Jack reached its peak as he defeated him at consecutive PPV's (Royal Rumble & No Way Out). The Rock would win the Rumble that year, by last eliminating the Big Show. It seemed as though the road would be crystal clear for The Rock and Triple H to clash at the first WrestleMania of the New Millenium "WM 2000". This is otherwise known as WrestleMania 16. Naturally, they already had a well-built rivalry from their time as Rocky Maivia/Hunter Hearst Helmsley, to the DX vs. NOD battles to their emergence in the main events. Their careers followed each other closely. It seemed like destiny would take place. Unfortunately, that never happened. Instead, we got this.

WM 2000 Main Event:
Vince McMahon & co., had so much success dominating WCW in the Monday Night Wars, that they got complacent for this show. They clearly had a really bad hangover following the success of Royal Rumble 2000 and No Way Out. Instead of making the biggest show of the year surpass those events, they just threw up the biggest pile of vomit known as WrestleMania 2000. The show was filled with mixed tag matches, triple threats and fatal four ways. It was a giant cluster from start to finish. The only redeeming part of the show was the Triangle Ladder Match between E&C, The Dudleyz and the Hardy Boyz. The Main Event was no different than everything else. Typically, the main event is supposed to set the course for the rest of the WM Card. This one was a major disappointment. The Main Event was a Fatal Four Way between Triple H, The Rock, Big Show and Mick Foley with a McMahon in every corner. (Stephanie: Triple H, Vince: The Rock, Shane: Big Show, Linda: Foley). The company's ego got too big and they felt that they could experiment with the first WM of the 2000's Decade, and it blew up in their face.

What Ruined It:
WWE decided to give Mick Foley another chance, even though No Way Out was his "retirement". That was the first problem. He had his opportunities and failed both times. This was the feel good story gone wrong. I guess this was their way of giving Mick his "WrestleMania Main Event" as a lifetime achievement award. So, they decided to continue the feud between Foley and Triple H, when Mick was a stepping stone on the way to Hunter's showdown with The Rock. Imagine if WM XV was a Triple Threat between Austin, Rock and Mankind. That would be a disaster. As a child, I did not say anything. Now that I am wiser, I see the blunder that this match was. Next, they decided to involve Big Show in the match to create a rivalry with him and The Rock. This should not have escalated beyond the Rumble, because The Rock clearly won and was the Undisputed Number One Contender. I am not a big proponent of Triple Threat and Fatal Four Way Main Events for WrestleMania, because they damage the chemistry and flow of the match. Traditional Main Events need to stay 1-on-1. Instead, you had too many Chefs in the Kitchen.

Rewrite:
This is very, very simple and easy. Get Foley, Big Show, and the McMahons out of the match. They were all dead weight. Just leave it as The Rock vs. Triple H. Instead of Triple H winning, have The Rock win the title seeing as he never won the WWE Title at WrestleMania. He would always lose the title match. Their match at Backlash is exactly what should have happened at WrestleMania 2000. The Rock & Triple H have a rivalry that DESERVED to be in the Main Event of WrestleMania. At this point, both were at the Top of their Game (pun intended) and it is what fans deserved to see. That is the one element that their feud was missing. For the most part, every legendary rivalry had a 1-on-1 WrestleMania Match. (Rock vs. Austin had a Trilogy. Hogan vs. Andre, Hogan vs. Savage, Bret vs. Shawn) With that said, Triple H vs. Rock should have been in that category.

In Conclusion, if this main event were just a straight 1-on-1 for the WWF Title, the quality of the show would have been better.

Talk Is Jericho Podcast w/Stephanie McMahon Review

Chris Jericho's recent Interview on the WWE Network featured Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley as his Special Guest. The Interview was highly anticipated by the Network as WWE was ending their free trial for the month of April. Some were expecting this to be like the previous interview with John Cena as well as Austin's Interview with Stephanie's husband, Triple H. (The key word is "some", not all) However, this had more fluff than it had bark and bite. This interview was more of a feel good story between two former rivals who are obviously best friends. For my Comic book fans, it was like Wolverine and Mystique becoming friends. For my Anime fans, it was like Vegeta becoming friends with Android 18 after years of bad blood. For many fans, this further drives home the idea about Chris Jericho officially becoming a "Sellout" and a "Corporate Puppet". This was more like a walk in Candyland instead of what we expect from Stone Cold. Instead, it was more of a live chat between friends. Austin has become the measuring stick for anyone that does interviews, and the backlash against Jericho has intensified. While I do not have any hatred towards Y2J like the other fans, I felt as though a number of punches were held back. Jericho's Interview style is very entertaining in its own way. Other times, there are some things left unsaid. His "Talk Is Jericho" Podcast provides more substance, as it is not a show that it is completely sanctioned by WWE. Jericho is able to have full control of that vehicle, much like with his books. Now, I don't expect him to become Sherlock Holmes or Inspector Gadget trying to do Detective Work about a certain Canadian Crippler who no longer exists in WWE (*coughs* Chris Benoit). On the other hand, I understand why he holds back on certain things. Jericho likes to stay in good graces with WWE, and does not want to receive any of the horrendous company backlash that others before him have received because they were on Vince's bad side.

Jericho joked about "hard hitting questions", as a lead in to talk about a company "Christmas Party" that he was not invited to. This set the tone for the rest of the interview.

Now, I will go into the points that were brought up in the Network Exclusive.

Contrast in Austin and Jericho's styles: Stone Cold has gained a well built reputation of respect among fans, because he holds nothing back in his questions. You can walk away with assurance that nothing was left unsaid. Austin's interview style mirrors the way that he wrestled: Straightforward, but with a few elements of laughts. Jericho has more of a fun, and playful approach. Do not expect Austin to ask Stephanie who her childhood crush was.

WWE Ambassador: Stephanie explains the role that she plays as an Ambassador for WWE as she travels to different countries proclaiming the good deeds of a cultural phenomenon. Jericho and Stephanie talk about how funny it is that WWE is still seen by some as a Neanderthal sport, when it has redefined society for many, many years. She also talks about her contributions to the "Be A Star" Campaign against bullying. Jericho has the opportunity to drill her about why she plays a heel character on TV, while being front and center for an anti-bullying campaign. Stephanie gives a fluff response, and Jericho does not go any further.

(Side Note: Vince McMahon is standing in the background at the start of the interview, then leaves. Jericho and Steph point that out.)

Childhood Stories in Wrestling: Stephanie opens up about growing up the daughter of Vince McMahon and how she was often picked on because of that. Some kids thought that she would be a snob, because of her background. She shares a fun story about her friendship with Andre The Giant. Stephanie gravitated to Andre, because she felt that he was treated like an outcast since he was a Giant. Stephanie also says that growing up, she was a fan of Tito Santana and The Killer Bees. Steph did not like Hulk Hogan at all. Instead, she was a fan of the heels. I know she had to be furious about Hogan defeating Andre at WrestleMania 3. With that said, I see why she does her job so well as a villain. It was actually fun to hear about this.

Spitting Image of Vince: Stephanie talks about how she has the same relentless drive that her father has to obtain and maintain success. Her brother Shane calls her the "Vinceess". McMahon says that she closely observed her father's work as a showman and executive for years.

Beginnings: Steph says that she worked the phones for WWE (WWF at the time) when she was 14. She worked as an intern in the marketing department. Stephanie even says that she created a clip reel for Summerslam one year. I wish that she mentioned which one it was. She also talked about interacting with fans in the AOL chatrooms (I remember those days). McMahon shares those stories to let fans know that her parents did not hand her a high level executive position. Stephanie even said WWF, and was never censored.

Relationship with Triple H: This is where Stephanie opened up the most. Jericho and Stephanie talk about her relationship with Triple H. Steph says that originally, her father did not want her to be in a relationship with wrestlers. She says that Vince felt that it would be too much of a risk. Except there was one star that Vince had a special spot for in his heart, Triple H. She said that Vince "threw them together" at first. Then, he would "take away his blessing" so that they would be separated for some time.  For those of you looking for any mention of Chyna, this was the wrong place. Apparently, Vince does not want that name to resurface again as we know the headlines that it created in Austin's interview with Triple H. Clearly, things worked out in the end between Triple H and Stephanie. Their story ended in a fairytale way. When Jericho asked who wears the pants in the family, She says "both of us".

Lack of Ronday Rousey: Jericho brings up Ronda Rousey as his next topic of discussion, because of her relationship with WWE. As we know, Dana White announced that he has no plans of having Ronda make any more appearances for WWE. Rousey's appearances at Summerslam 2014 and WrestleMania 31 were huge attractions for the company. As Stephanie said that she did not know what was next with Ronda, she also said "Never say Never".

Future of Divas Division (#GiveDivasAChance): Like the Triple H topic, the biggest missed opportunity came when Stephanie was addressed with the topic about the Twitter war that her and AJ had about the #GiveDivasAChance movement. Stephanie was being diplomatic when she said that she was proud of the former 3-time Divas Champion for speaking up. With the bad blood surrounding CM Punk, I am sure that Stephanie sees AJ as a thorn behind the scenes. The fate of the Divas Division should not have to single handedly depend on Stephanie McMahon alone. It should be a collective effort on the Women in the locker room to step their game up in their own way. As her father would say, they have to fight for the brass ring themselves. However, Stephanie does have a strong deal of influence. The CBO (Chief Brand Officer) seems to agree with AJ about the state of women's wrestling. Steph sees the lack of ring time and stories that the females are given. She says that it is something that has to be worked on. Stephanie says that she desires a change in that department. She tells Jericho that she is "pushing for it everyday". Hopefully, the #GiveDivasAChance tweet does not do more harm than good. What was expected to be the hot button point was cooled off and swept under the rug.

Overall, this Interview does not leave me in anticipation for the next guest on the show. WWE is in a comfort zone as an award winning network with no desire to go for more press. Austin provided the headlines that they needed to give them an edge and reach 1,000,000 subscribers. Now that they have reached personal goals, they have no desire to continue to create buzz. Stone Cold's Interviews left us walking away with topics to discuss among our friends, coworkers, etc for the rest of the week. Jericho's interview with Cena provided some nice headlines and gave us a deeper look into Cena when he is away from character. Fans walked away with a better understanding of John Cena and realized he is a regular guy like the rest of us behind the pomp and circumstance. This interview was just Vince's way of staying complacent and avoiding anything that could be seen as "controversial" on any level. Jericho is the guy that the company has in their vision for who they want as a staple for future interviews. Austin was the figure head to save them from going out of business. Y2J is the figure head that they look at to conduct interviews. It is safe to say that he has now built himself as the true suit and tie company guy.

This Interview gets 3 out of 5 Undisputed Title Belts.
